Feasibility study
A feasibility study evaluates the attractiveness of a new project and answers the question “does an idea make economic sense?” It also analyses the possibilities for attracting financing for the project realisation, and as such is usually undertaken before preparing a business plan. Timely and professionally conducted feasibility study would support capital allocation decisions and in many cases help avoiding false opportunities.

A feasibility study typically looks at the following elements:
  • Market.
  • Entity.
  • Business model.
  • Technology.
  • Organisation.
  • Management.
  • Financial model.
  • Availability of financing.
The conclusion reached on the basis of the analysis is used to make a decision if a new project is worth undertaking, and if so under what conditions.
