Telecommunications sector is at the centre of economic and social development, as it enables fast and efficient communication, access to information and literally connects people in the most distant parts of the world. In the developed countries telecommunications sector has reached saturation. However, in developing countries there are still areas of high growth potential within it.

In case of Ukraine, while mobile penetration is currently at the level of 120%, country-wide broadband internet penetration is only 7.7%. This represents a huge market opportunity, which many would like to take advantage of.

Internet usage and access in Ukraine have been growing rapidly in the recent years, and despite the crisis the trend continues. Internet access can be divided according to the type and speed of connection into wired / wireless, and fast (broadband) / slow (narrowband), respectively.
