The pharmacy retail market has been experiencing rapid growth during several years preceding the financial crisis. 

Even though due to unfavorable macroeconomic situation and shortage of expansion capital many companies had to put expansion plans on hold, dynamics of development and expansion in the sector continues. 

There are around 23.000 pharmacy retail points all over Ukraine, with an average of 1,985 inhabitants per 1 pharmacy. This brief overview presents a profile of some of the main market players, for which information is publicly available, and comments on expected future sector trends.
